Brian did an amazing job with our bench and table. I had a vision; he made great suggestions but also made what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier. I’d been looking for a custom design shot glass rack for my collection. I found Brian on line and local to HHI. He stopped by my house and we came up with a sketch. Brian then fabricated my unit within a month and it looks great.

Brian built the most beautiful two sets of bunk beds for our vacation home. With four small children, we knew we needed safe, sturdy, well-built bunk beds to handle all the wear-and-tear from our kids. We worked with Brian to come up with a design that included both painted and stained wood elements and matched our design aesthetic. Brian presented us with an amazing design that fit the size and style of our room perfectly. We live out of state and he was excellent to communicate with during the entire process. We are thrilled with our new bar top which Brian did for us. After getting some crazy quotes, we were excited to find Brian who you will find is honest and straightforward in addition to being a great craftsman. Budget and schedule were on the mark, and he offered to do the wall piece interface after installing the bar top. After we secured enough wine crate panels to cover the surface, Brian brought us into his shop to lay out a pattern. He procured and fit up our desired arm rail, and affixed the new top to the existing cabinet. Following the installation, we are happy to say that the bar has been commissioned! Brian was a pleasure to work with.

Let me begin by saying that it was a pleasure working with Brian Meehan – The Woodsmith of Hilton Head. He built us a pair of floating walnut nightstands of our own design. He followed our drawings to the T and with wonderful craftsmanship built us exactly what we wanted. They were built and installed within the promised time frame. The cost was quite reasonable for this type of custom job. Would highly recommend him for custom woodwork.

Having a banquette built in my condo it needed a custom sized table and Brian’s creativity and craftsmanship came through for me. Beautiful, stunning credenza. I am absolutely awed by the look, apparent quality, and workmanship of my new office addition! Brian has made an amazing credenza and is currently finishing up on a coffee table and mantle for our new home. All 3 pieces will be the highlight of our living room when completed. We were amazed with workmanship that went into building them.

A note from Brian: this piece was designed and built around a large slice of cypress sinker log. A ” sinker log” is a log that sank to the bottom of a waterway or a pond after falling by natural means or when being transported. The cypress log used in this project is over 250 years old and it was submerged in the water for approximately 300 years. So this tree dates back to circa 1500.

Brian Meehan just created the most unique barn door for me after also creating the most beautiful plantation shutters for my living room. The barn door is a true work of art and a stunning focal point upon entering my front door. Everything that Brian creates is a custom piece of quality workmanship made to your specifications, and one of a kind. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with Brian’s work. It’s been a pleasure working with him!

Brian recently resurfaced our oak table with four leaves, after being damaged in a move. Our experience with Brian was personable and professional and his prices were competitive. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with Brian’s completed Barn Door project for our home! We asked Brian to make a barn door for us to use for our guest bedroom suite for additional privacy when our family and guests are staying with us. Brian built, delivered and installed a beautiful custom barn style bifold door for a “big and tall” opening at the bottom of my staircase. This lovely accent piece has added both beauty and privacy for guests at a fantastic price! Brian was even able to finish it a little early, and it made for a fabulous birthday gift (for me!)

After receiving the drawing, Brian kept me updated with pictures of the door mortising. I really enjoyed seeing the “birthing” process! He was even able to match the paint and provided a little extra for touchups that may be needed down the road.

I could not be more delighted with my entire experience, and have asked Brian to work on another “big and tall” project – this time an external screen door. Last night my real estate agent stopped by, and she loved the new addition, too.

Brian did a fine job on two vanity cabinets for our remodeled guest and bonus room bathrooms. Not only were his prices competitive with standard cabinets but we were able to get just what we wanted, including one cabinet that is between the standard sizes and includes a custom shelf for toilet paper. Brian just finished a project in our guest bedroom designing plantation shutters to fit in an alcove with windows on three sides. His attention to detail meant that we can still open the window working around my built in desk. The shutters look beautiful !

Brian did a fabulous job on my dressing room door in Harbour Town. We had a mess of storage which needed to be cleaned out and made into a dressing room for the children. Brian brought by some plans and decided on the best solution for a childrens dressing room..not only was he clean and neat the door is absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with the work. It has made the store so special and I am very happy with his job and his patience with me. He was everything you would want and expect for a contractor.

We were looking to put bunkbeds in one of our guest-rooms. We looked at several furniture stores but nothing was aligning with our vision. We were lucky to find Brian who bought into what we were trying to accomplish in our living space and made it his personal mission to incorporate the bunkbeds as we visualized them in our guest-room. From the built-in stairs, to the railings, to the independent lighting for each bed, Brian incorporated our thoughts into the design and made it a reality. We are thrilled with our new shutters. Brian does awesome work and the end result is beautiful. We started with the windows in the front of the house but liked them so much, we had two additional rooms done. We could not be happier with the entire experience working with Brian.
